Short Stories
This project is a compilation of 6 original works compositions, which are dedicated to moments of the past to people and/or moments that were reflected in my heart, in different ways.
Love, pain, joy, melancholy, nostalgy, etc. And these pieces are my way of expressing what I felt and telling some of the stories of my life, that I can’t say with words, I’m not very good with words I feel I express myself better with my art.
1-Love secret’s
It is a poem by William Blake, one of my favorite writers.
The lyrics of his poem, he very aptly expressed a love break, we have all been heartbroken, so I decided to use the poem and put it to music with only piano and voice.
The lyrics tell the story of a person who has been left by someone else, and shows the frustration and helplessness of the one who was abandoned.
Never seek to tell thy love,
Love that never told can be;
For the gentle wind doth move
Silently, invisibly.
I told my love, I told my love,
I told her all my love,
Trembling, cold, in ghastly fears.
Ah! she did depart!
Soon after she was gone from me,
A traveller came by,
Silently, invisibly:
He took her with a sigh.
2-Soledad (Soltitude)
I wanted to compose a piece of music that awakens people's imagination, by listening to it they can see a story that has not been told and that they are creating as they listen to the piece.
More than anything I wanted to express how my every day are.
But the idea of this piece is to combine the acoustics of the instrument in its solitude, together with modern sound elements, loops, pitch shifters, phasers, etc.
